Sometimes I think my nicknames for Pokémon are silly or unoriginal, but then I remember the time I played against my cousin. He saw the nickname of my Pokémon, Sparky, and then very loudly talked about how easy it was to counter an electric type if he knows and why would I waste a nickname if I’m just going to give away what it is anyways. Ten seconds later, my swampert knocked out his geodude. He was mad for the rest of the day. I still always name my mudkips sparky
